Progress

COACH YOUR CHANGE

When progress gets
stuck, find out why.

CYC helps leaders, management teams and organisations uncover what is

really holding progress back, clarify what needs to change and turn that

understanding into action.

Changes starts with
understanding why.

Leadership • Management • Teams • Change & Transformation

Recognize

WHERE CYC HELPS

Recognise the situation before choosing the

intervention.

CYC focuses on three business situations: leadership that is not creating enough clarity or ownership, management teams that are not working effectively together, and change initiatives that are losing momentum or direction.

01

Leadership

For situations where leaders are still too involved in operational decisions, responsibilities remain unclear, delegation does not create real ownership, or a leadership role needs to evolve with the organisation.

02

Management Teams

For situations where strong individuals are not functioning as a strong team. Typical signs are unresolved conflict, unclear decision-making, competing priorities, weak follow-through or too little shared responsibility.

03

Change & Transformation

For situations where projects or transformations are active but progress remains too slow, decisions repeatedly escalate, dependencies are poorly owned, or business, technology and leadership are not moving in the same direction.

Perspektive

THE CYC PERSPECTIVE

Do not coach people
to fix a system

problem.

And do not redesign the system without understanding the people who have to work within it. A leadership issue may involve decision rights, incentives or expectations. A team conflict may be reinforced by competing objectives. A stalled transformation may combine governance, capability, leadership and behaviour.

CYC looks at both sides before deciding where intervention is actually needed.

Engages

HOW CYC ENGAGES

Use the mode

that moves the
situation

forward.

CYC shifts deliberately between four working modes. Which mode is used depends on what the situation requires at that moment, not on a predefined service package.

COACH

Develop ownership.

Use reflection and questions when the client needs to think through the issue, widen perspective and take responsibility for the next step.

CHALLENGE

Test the thinking.

Question assumptions, surface contradictions and introduce an independent perspective when established thinking is limiting progress.

ADVISE

Add experience.

Offer practical options, patterns and business experience when outside expertise can shorten the path to a sound decision.

FACILITATE

Create alignment.

Question assumptions, surface Bring the relevant people together when progress depends on shared understanding, clear decisions and coordinated action.

Logic

THE CYC WORKING LOGIC

Four
dimensions. One

continuous

lerning cycle.

Clarity, Orientation, Development and Growth structure the work without turning change into a four-step recipe. We can move forward, return to an earlier dimension or revisit assumptions whenever new evidence changes our understanding.

01 • UNDERSTAND

Clarity

Build a shared view of what is actually happening. Separate facts from assumptions, surface different perspectives and identify what may be holding progress back.

02 • ALIGN

Orientation

Translate understanding into direction. Define what needs to be different, why it matters, who needs to be involved and how meaningful progress will be recognised.

03 • ENABLE

Development

Work on the change itself. Develop capability, behaviour, decisions, collaboration or structures according to what the situation requires.

04 • LEARN

Growth

Test whether the intended change is becoming real. Review evidence, learn from what happens and adapt the understanding, direction or intervention where necessary.

Why

WHY CYC

SP4.png

Business reality first.

Coaching wher its add

value.

I have worked for many years in environments where business, technology, projects, leadership and organisational change had to function together. My roles have included project management, business analysis, Head of IT responsibility, management consulting and professional coaching.

That matters because difficult change rarely sits in one place. A leadership issue can be reinforced by governance. A team problem can be created by unclear decision rights. A transformation can fail despite committed people because roles, priorities or dependencies are badly designed.

CYC brings those perspectives together. I can coach when reflection and ownership are needed, challenge established thinking when it limits progress, contribute practical experience when it shortens the path to a decision, and facilitate when several people need to solve the issue together.

✓  Senior project & transformation experience             ✓  C-level & management engagement

✓  Leadership of multi-million-euro projects                 ✓  Head of IT experience

✓  Systemic Business Coaching qualification                ✓  Complex & regulated environments

The point is not the list of roles.
It is the ability to recognise whether progress is being blocked by
people, leadership, structures, decisions or several of these at once.

Discuss your situation

START WITH THE SITUATION

Bring the

situation. Not the

diagnosis.

You do not need to know whether the answer is coaching, facilitation, advisory support or something else. Start with what is happening, what is getting in the way and what needs to be different. The first conversation is a focused fit check: understand the situation, clarify the outcome and decide whether CYC can add value.

No predefined programme. No obligation to continue.
